Membership Requirements

New members must live in the general area in and around Houston, Texas, and hold one of the following designations:

 

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Attorney

Trust officers of a trust company authorized to do business in Texas or trust officer of a bank

Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA)

Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU)

Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP®)

Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)

Accredited Senior Appraisers of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA)

Development Officer of an organization exempt from federal income taxation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended ("the Code")

Accredited Estate Planner (AEP)

Former Member

 

Benefits of Membership

Attendance at the monthly continuing education programs held during the HEFF fiscal year.

Introduction to, and interaction with, other professionals rendering estate and financial planning services in the Houston area.

 

Dues

Dues are required at an amount set annually by the Board of Directors.
